Overview[]
King of the Hill is a world activity players can participate in. Players fight to control a single zone located at the Parking Garage to score points and dominate the leaderboard for either themselves or their player factions.
Competing[]
Players must scale to the top of the Parking Garage in order to secure the zone. The goal is to secure the zone for a player's faction or for themselves. Players must earn 60 points on the zone to capture it. Standing in the zone while it is uncontested grants the player 2 points per second. If the zone is contested, the player will not score any points towards capturing the zone until opposing players are eliminated. If the zone is vacated, then the points towards capturing decay. If a player is capturing a zone and has been out of combat for 10 seconds, their health will regenerate faster than normal.
When a zone is captured, it will appear on the leaderboard posted on the front of the Parking Garage. The zone will then disappear for a few seconds, then reappear, resetting capture progress. The most recent captures are displayed on the leaderboard. Each entry includes the faction's icon (or if a player is not in a faction, then it will be a crossed out circle), how many kills the player/faction gained while capturing the zone, and how many deaths the player/faction had while capturing the zone. The goal is to capture the zone and dominate the leaderboard for a faction or one's self.
It is highly recommended that users fighting together utilize the "Allies" feature in the in-game menu (V).
Trivia[]
- There are currently no rewards for dominating the leaderboard or holding the zone currently. In a future update, rewards will be added.
