Koutarou Amon is a unique kagune with three stages. Previously a CCG Investigator, Koutarou Amon, like Seidou Takizawa, was captured after the Owl Suppression Operation and experimented on and turned into a one-eyed Ghoul, though he was considered to be a failed specimen [1]. The first stage of the kagune is a callback to his days as an investigator, choosing to manifest it in the form of the upgraded Doujima quinque. The second stage is his first kakuja form, closely resembling Eto's second stage in appearance. Amon's third stage is his second kakuja form, resembling a large, humanoid form of Eto's third stage.

Trivia[]

  • Koutarou Amon is the only kagune to closely resemble and play like a quinque in Ro-Ghoul.
  • Stage 1 uses the almost exact same model of stage 2 of Doujima, minus the pommel.
  • Stage 1's E and R move are almost exactly the same as stage 2 of Doujima in terms of appearance.
  • Stage 2's E move uses the same audio sound effect used in some of Lycan's moves
  • Stage 2 has a unique consumption animation where the user bends down with only with their torso while the absorption particles emit from the mouth of the kakujas mouth

Stages[]

Koutarou Amon has 3 stages.

Stage 1[]

This stage replaces the user's right arm with a muscular arm made from the kagune and creates an upgraded Doujima to use through kagune detachment. This stage focuses on using Doujima as a weapon rather than fighting traditionally as other ghouls would.

R The user dashes forward a medium distance and thrusts with the created Doujima, impaling enemies and moving the enemy backwards with the user's travel. 2.0 seconds AmonKag1 R
F The user throws the created Doujima forward in the direction of the user's camera. Impaled enemies are pushed backwards. The user is unable to attack in any way (not including Specials) until the user recreates Doujima in their hand. The user can hold down the F key to aim before throwing Doujima. 2.0 seconds AmonKag1 F

Stage 2[]

Stage 2 is Koutarou Amon's first kakuja form is bipedal and looks similar to Eto's first kakuja stage. The head of the user becomes mutated having 3 eyes in a triangle layout, a mutated mouth that is sideways with visible teeth and a tongue sticking out. Four spikes sprout from the user's back. The user also has four arms. The feet are similar to birds as it has three clawed toes and a digit on the back of the heel. The user's kakuja also wears a robe.

    • Kakuja Defense - Block time is infinite and reduces damage by 67%

E The user lunges forward and bites in front of them, dealing damage to any enemies hit. The user heals for 4% of their health per target hit. Enemies that are hit by this move are stunned for 0.5 seconds. 2.0 seconds AmonKagK1 E
R The user can hold down the R key to charge this move for up to 1.25 seconds. Upon release of this skill, the user will create an arc of shards that launch forward and hit targets. Depending on the amount of time the move is held for, damage, shard speed, and shard quantity is increased for each 0.25 seconds charged for a potential 5x increase. 1.5 seconds Amon KagK1 R
F The user creates Doujima through kagune detachment and cleaves in front of them with Doujima, dealing heavy damage and inflicting bleed on enemies. 3.0 seconds Amon KagK1 F
C The user gets on all fours and craws forward, attacking anything that gets close to the pulses with kakuja tendrils. The move attacks 4 times a second, dealing low damage and is incapable of shredding blocks. 2.0 seconds Amon KagK1 C

Stage 3

Stage 3 is Koutarou Amon's second kakuja form, stands bipedally and resembles Eto's second kakuja stage. Both of its arms have no hands, and instead are large blades. When using the F move (melee mode), the left blade grows in size to almost three times as large. It is much larger than it's predecessor, lacks clothing besides black pants, and has bird-like feet. It has two small red-pupiled eyes, no nose, sharp teeth and a faceplate with small ears behind it. Similar to EtoK1's blade-like appendages on its back, AmonK2 has a total of four of these blade-like appendages that will shrink to about half their original size when activating ranged mode.

AmonK2's appearance changes significantly when activating ranged mode. The kakuja's armblades transform into shorter, normal hands, as well as the blades on its back shortening in size. However, large, thick wings will sprout from the kakuja's back, causing a very short mode-switch cooldown to occur and the entire moveset to change from all melee attacks to all ranged attacks.

    • RC Overflow - AmonK2's block also has an offensive capability that has a short lifespan. Can't be used when stunlocked. When blocking, there's a short RC overflow period that releases a large spike of RC when the user is attacked. The RC overflow period lasts about 1 second.

R Similar to E, the user lunges with the right arm, dealing significant damage and has a much larger hitbox. If the move is held down, the user will do a spinning slash attack after the initial lunge that deals slightly less damage and knocks back enemies. Enemies knocked into a wall are stunned. 1.5 seconds AmonK2 MeleeR
F Initially long windup as the user's left arm grows to a certain size, then quickly lunges forward and grabs a target. The user then runs in any direction while dragging the target, doing continuous damage, and then throwing the target. If the target is thrown into a wall, they take even more damage and experience a short-lived stunlock. This move does significant overall damage. 10.0 seconds AmonK2 MeleeF
C The users activates ranged mode, shrinking any blade appendages and turning the kakuja's arms into hands. Moveset is changed to completely ranged. 1.0 seconds AmonK2 MeleeC
Moves (Ranged Mode)[]

E Like other ranged moves, this move has a unique cooldown mechanic where it has no actual cooldown. For each usage of the move, a stack of "Exertion" is added. After Exertion level 2, the user takes damage for each following usage of the move. All stacks of exertion are lost after about 3 seconds. The user waves the wings, aims down and begins shooting a wall of shards while shifting up, with moderate to long range. Constant usage of this move can easily kill low-dur users. 0.0 seconds AmonK2 RangeE
R Similar to the E move, this move has a unique mechanic. Instead of Exertion stacks, the user can use this move once with no cooldown, and a second time with a 3 second cooldown. If the user only fires once, there is a timer for 3 seconds. If the move is used during these 3 seconds, it will trigger the 3 second cooldown for the move. In other words, the move can be used twice at a time. The kakuja's wings clap together, firing a fast projectile mass of shards, similar to TakiK2's C move, dealing significant damage. F The user leans back while the kakuja's wings shift back and forth, as multiple walls of shards fire from left to right in extremely fast succession with long range. This move has wide range and does significant damage. 9.0 seconds AmonK2 RangeF
C The user activates melee mode while the kakuja's wings contract and the blade appendages regrow to their original state. 1.0 seconds AmonK2 RangeC
