It's up to Staff's discretion as to what should be labeled as the reasoning for deleting/blocking. There exists a bar to type in a reason for a reason... Sitb is fine. No need to mini-mod our own staff...
I was wondering if it was possible to somehow incorporate a filter that prevents comments/edits from being posted when they contain certain words. The obvious being inappropriate words. How would I go along with doing such? I'm starting to get a bit peeved at the amount of users using inappropriate language towards others. Your response would be greatly appreciated! :)
There is a restricted extension called Abuse Filter which serves that purpose. However, it can only be enabled on a wiki by requesting it via Special:Contact (Changes to a Wiki > I want a feature or extension turned on), and you must demonstrate there is an urgent and current need for it on the wiki. If you choose to submit a request, I would recommend including as many examples of the profanity/abuse you have found as possible, to justify having it enabled. - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 18:00, September 5, 2019 (UTC)
Huh, okay. I'll start amassing what comes through then instead of immediately deleting. Wish it was open in general, but I could probably guess a few reasons why it's a closed feature. Thank you for responding!
You can continue to delete inappropriate comments. Fandom staff have access to wiki deletion logs, just like local administrators. So, if you provide links to the deleted content (or the profiles of users who made them), staff will still be able to see the extent of the vandalism. That way, the users of the wiki don't have to see that stuff while you're gathering a list together. - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 09:48, September 6, 2019 (UTC)
One of my fellow wiki managers, Jr Mime, has offered to help with the Abuse Filter extension once you have it approved for use here. Feel free to contact them if you have specific questions about it, as they have extensive experience dealing with vandalism and other spam across Fandom. - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 12:58, September 6, 2019 (UTC)
I'm not sure exactly what you are looking to do, but the welcome tool is the only automated tool I know of that can send messages to a user's message wall on your behalf. It is a single, pre-determined message you must decide on beforehand that will be sent to all new users when they make their first edit.
Templates on the other hand, can be used to format, display data, or lift data from other pages to display on the current page. However, they don't edit other pages directly. Using a template in conjunction with a message wall would still require the user to directly visit the other user's message wall to leave the message manually. - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 09:52, July 30, 2019 (UTC)
How customizeable is the Community Page? The To-Do list seems to be customizeable, but is anything else on there that I can edit? For instance, the "Add Links" box has pages that don't really need links. Is it possible to rearrange pages in those categories so they stand out more? Is it possible to edit the blurb under "Meet The Admins"? Can the header image and text be changed?
Off-topic, and I don't want to start a new post for this to bother anyone, but for some reason, I cannot respond to a comment on my own blog post. I've tried yesterday and today, but it doesn't work. It keeps preventing the comment from posting to protect from "session hijacking" or whatever. Yet, I was able to comment on our pages and on the Discussions feature just fine...

Strange... Maybe you've already tried this, but since the system is flagging something as being session-related, I'm wondering if you terminate your session (log out of Fandom) and re-log back in, if it might fix the problem. Also, have you tried to post comments while using a different type of browser, by chance? - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 09:31, June 23, 2019 (UTC)
