NPCs are one of the major features of Ro-Ghoul. Every NPC moves, can hurt or be hurt (except for trainers, faction leaders, and vendors) and spawns every ~12 seconds. NPCs may attack players when their health is above 33% but run away from players if their health is below 33%. Every moving NPC un-equips their kagune/quinque when no one is around and equip it when a player is close to them. NPCs are only able to run and they are unable to jump, dash or use their kagune/quinque skills besides the Click move.

Humans and athletes are exceptions, as they are passive, which means they don't attack you at all and run away when they see a ghoul draw their kagune and/or attack or when they are attacked by a CCG player.

CCG NPCs will only hurt ghoul players. If they are hit by a CCG player, they won't move and attack and will stand still and take damage.

Eto is also an exception, as she spawns every 5 minutes (spawn rate cooldown restarts at the moment she is dead), never runs away from you no matter how much you damage her, is able to jump, is the only NPC able to use her kagune skills, and her corpse is invisible when she is killed.
