NPC

Overview

NPCs are one of the major features of Ro-Ghoul. Every NPCs move, can hurt and can be hurt (except for trainers, faction leaders, and vendors) and spawn every ~12 seconds. NPCs may attack players when their health is above 33% but run away from players if their health is below 33%. Every moving NPCs un-equip their kagune/quinque when no one is around and equip it when a player is close to them. NPCs are only able to run and they are unable to jump, dash or use their kagune/quinque skills besides the Click move.

Behavior

Humans

Humans and athletes are exceptions: they are passive and will not attack players and will flee upon seeing a ghoul with their kagune manifested or when a CCG player harms it.

CCG

CCG NPCs will only hurt ghoul players. If they are hit by a CCG player, they won't move and attack, will stand still and take damage.

Bosses

Eto is considered a boss NPC. She respawns every five minutes (timer starts once she is dead). When attacked by players that are level 750 or higher, she will aggressively fight back. Unlike other NPCs, she will not flee if her health falls below 33%. She is also capable of using the skills associated with the kagune's stage.

Note: All players who participate in slaying Eto receive rewards. You must deal enough damage to be rewarded. The amount of EXP rewarded scales with how much damage a player does. Allowing Eto to fall out of the world grants no rewards to anyone

• Low Rank Aogiri Members can be found using the former Kaneki stage 1 Stage 1, Touka stage 1 or Nishiki Stage 1.
• Mid-Rank Aogiri Tree Members can be found using the former Kaneki stage 2 or Touka stage 2.
• High-Rank Aogiri Tree Members can be found using Kaneki stage 3 or Touka stage 2.
• Rank 2 Investigators can be found using Eyepatch stage 1, Clipped Wing or C-Katana.
• Rank 1 Investigators can be found using Eyepatch stage 2, Stage 1 or Demon Yamada.

• Eto Yoshimura can be found using Eto stage 3.
• bob is an easter egg/joke NPC which is a High Rank Aogiri Member using Kaneki stage 3 or Touka stage 2, with the exception of always having a pink kagune and having the name "bob".

Trivia

• Eto Yoshimura is the only NPC to be reworked to reflect the rework performed on their kagune
• Tsukiyama is the only starter kagune not used by ghoul NPCs
• A glitch used to occur where NPCs would fall over upon spawning. This was supposedly fixed on April 4th, 2020
• During Winter 2018, Eto Yoshimura wore a santa hat
