Kura is a koukaku-type quinque that resembles a quarterstaff with a blade at its end. It has good versatility with both of its stages able to split the quinque into a varying amount of swords.

Trivia[]

  • Kura was formerly owned by Kureo Mado[1] until his untimely death. In his will, the quinque was then given to Koutarou Amon[2].
  • Kura is the first quinque ever to be revamped.

Stages[]

Kura has 2 stages with both having 2 modes.

Stage 1[]

Stage 1 is a hard-hitting broadsword that can split into two swords for speed and range.

Broadsword Mode[]

This mode is slower but has more damaging attacks.

R The user charges their opponent, stunning on a successful hit. 4 seconds

F The user slashes their enemy with the quinque. If a foe is hit with the spin cleave, the user jumps into a downwards slash. 3 seconds

C The quinque turns into dual mode. None

Dual Mode[]

This mode is lighter than broadsword mode, making the user faster. It is faster and has speedy attacks with decent range but lacks in combo capability and damage.

F This is a long-range move. The user slashes in the air with their quinques in an X shape, delivering a cross chop attack in the air as a projectile dealing damage at their enemy. If the attack lands, E cooldown gets reset. 3 seconds

Stage 2[]

Stage 2 is an overall improvement of stage 1 with the user wielding a great sword capable with menacing melee capabilities that can split into 3 swords for speed and range.

Greatsword Mode[]

With greater range and having extremely powerful follow-ups, this mode poses more of a threat, albeit with attacks that can come out slightly slow.

F The user jumps and does a flip with their quinque, slashing foes and stunning them for 1.6 seconds. 3 seconds

C The user spins their quinque around and splits the swords into 3, engaging in 3-Sword-Split mode. This move is notably slideable, meaning that it can be used when dashing and jumping, even increasing momentum. None

3-Sword-Split Mode[]

The user uses 3 swords at once in this mode with fast attacks and overall versatility. Being lighter to handle, the user is able to dash faster and farther 25% more than normal.

Click The user swings their swords at the enemy consecutively for each click ending in a finisher that causes the enemy to bleed. The attack is a true combo and the enemy cannot escape until after the finisher.
  • First and second hit 0 cooldown.
  • Third hit (finisher) 3 second cooldown.
  • Resets to normal after 2 seconds if there is no third attack.

E With a short windup, the user dashes in front of them instantly while swinging their swords. If a target is in the way, the user will dash slightly ahead of the target dealing damage and making the target unable to act for 0.5 seconds. Afterwards the move cooldown will increase.
  • 1 second
  • 2.5 seconds if target hit.

R The user slashes the air with their swords, delivering a projectile in front of them that deals damage. 1 second

F The user spins and creates a vortex of slashes lasting for 2 seconds that shreds opponents in range over time. Each hit does miniscule damage but bypasses block damage reduction. The user is still able to use other moves in this duration. 2 seconds
Kura2F3SS
C The user tosses two of the blades into the air and swings one blade to catch and reattach the swords together, engaging in greatsword mode. This move is notably slideable, meaning that it can be used while dashing and jumping, even increasing momentum. None
