Masks

Overview

Masks are accessories that give players the ability to change both their names when worn and hide their eyes if the mask covers them. In the official Tokyo Ghoul lore, they are used to protect the Ghoul's "Human" identity from the CCG. But in the game, these masks are purely for aesthetics. To equip your mask press M. Masks that are purchased are permanent and may be re-equipped at the Mask Shop any time.

Masks can be purchased with Yen or "Mask Credits" which can be purchased with Robux by speaking with Uta. Players can change their mask nickname by speaking with Uta as well. Some masks can only be purchased with Mask Credits. Players can buy Mask Credits at 4 different options:

• 10 MC = 5 Robux
• 50 MC = 25 Robux
• 100 MC = 50 Robux
• 200 MC = 100 Robux

Trivia

• The 2021 exclusive mask is the only animated mask.
• The Headband mask is the only mask to have a unique feature of displaying a group's logo.
• The Mask system was reworked on September 10th, 2021. The changes:
  • Masks can now be permanently purchased
  • The introduction of Mask Credits to purchase masks
  • Some masks changed from being Robux-exclusive to having Yen prices
  • Users can now try on masks before they purchase

Group Masks

These masks are exclusive to groups and can be worn if you enable them in the settings. Each group has certain requirements in order to earn the mask.

Goat	This mask resembles a goat skull with black pitched eyes. It hides the entire face aside from the rest of the head. The mask's color can change depending on the wielder's rank. Formerly, GOAT's low-rank mask was gray then was changed to black and its high-rank mask was red. Currently, low-rank GOAT members don't have a mask, its mid-rank mask is that of a black mask with a yellow-brown goggle, its high-rank mask is gold and its leader mask is purple. Plague Doctor [UNOBTAINABLE]	This mask was similar to the plague doctor mask that costs yen. However it was different in appearance as the lenses colors were different: blue for low ranked wielders, purple for middle-ranked wielders, and red for high ranked wielders. The mask got as darker as higher the wielder was ranked and the mask had studs lining around the face and along the beak. Quinx Mask [UNOBTAINABLE]	This mask was similar to the bandana mask that costs yen. However, it was different in appearance as a red small mask covered half of the bandana. This mask had no different features depending on the rank of the mask wielder. This mask is no longer obtainable due to the disbanding of the Quinx Squad and the Ro-Ghoul group.	Quinx Squad
CCG Cloak	This mask covers the face in a black shadow and the rest a hooded cloak. On the back is the CCG symbol, showing that the user of this mask is part of the higher ranks of the CCG. To get the white cloak mask, you have to achieve rank 2 investigator, which means graduating. You also have to get seventy-five points in a division by performing certain tasks. The variation to this cloak is a pitch-black color tone, sharing the same logo and blackish fog that shrouds the face, and the symbol featuring a darker gold color. To obtain the black cloak, you need to graduate and achieve Associate Special Class Investigator rank, which means achieving 525 points in total to get; which can be considered an achievement due to the difficulty of actually obtaining the black cloak. Owl [UNOBTAINABLE]	This mask was a knight helmet-shaped mask with two holes on it, covering the entire face and eyes. The color was either white, gray or light yellow when it was for low ranks; red for mid ranks, and black for high ranks. Ape [UNOBTAINABLE]	This mask was a red gorilla mask and a white hood with a tan fur trim that covered the entire head and face, except the eyes. The color of the fur could change, depending on the rank of the mask wielder. These masks are no longer obtainable due to the disbanding of The Apes and the Ro-Ghoul group.	The Apes	Low Rank Mask
Wolf [UNOBTAINABLE]	The Dark Army's mask resembled that of a wolf. It always had a pitch-black nose, and dark gray or black as the mask's base. If the mask had a dark gray base color, the eyes used the player's second color on CCG or Ghoul, which could lead to the mask often time's looking like they lacked eyes at all if the user had the proper color. If the mask had a black base color, the eyes were red. These masks are no longer obtainable, due to the disbanding of The Dark Army and the Ro-Ghoul group.	Dark Army
Dragon [UNOBTAINABLE]	The mask of Black Dragons resembles a dragon with 4 horns and an open mouth. The former version was a white dragon with similarly white, glowing eyes. The most recent version appeared as a black dragon with white glowing eyes for low ranks. Mid ranks were given purple eyes, and the owner's mask dawned red eyes. Demon	This mask resembles a skull with two horns, with a cape that is torn at the bottom. However, it doesn't cover the client's hair, offering style in monotonous order. The colors of the mask depending on the wearer's rank. Currently, you must be S rated or higher in the group to have access to the mask.	Aogiri Tree	S Rated & SS Rated Mask SSS Rated Staff Member
Cloak	This mask consists of a hooded cape that hides the upper part of the user's face, leaving the lower half exposed. The hood resembles a monster with four eyes and teeth, while the cape has spikes at the lower drapes. The primary color is always black, but the secondary color depends on the rank of the user: Green for middle ranks, purple for high ranks, and red for staff members. To acquire the mask, you must join the Roblox group and Discord server; afterwards, post your level in the level proof channel on the Discord server. Double-Sided Mask [UNOBTAINABLE]	This mask is a double-sided mask which covers most of the wearer's face, where the right side has a flower that covers the client's eye, while the left side has a white mask and a half-stitched mouth. Mid ranks have a crimson in place of the white, a slightly more vibrant red for the stitching, and royal purple for the eye on the left side and foliage of the right side. High-rank being only black and white in coloration. This mask is no longer obtainable due to Silence merging with Aogiri and disbanding.	Silence	LR Mask (Defender+) MR Mask (Hunter+) HR Mask. Oni	These masks are designed to look like an oni, a type of yokai in Japanese folklore that resembles an ogre/troll. They feature two distinctive horns on the forehead, with smaller horns beneath the jawline and a collection of 4 symmetrical horns on the crown section of the head. The mouth has teeth similar to traditional depictions of the oni in Japanese folklore, having sharp teeth with two noticeable fangs protruding from the mouth. Two horns protrude from the bottom of the jaw. The eye sockets are black across all versions and each has glowing crosses as pupils. The center of the forehead has a design found in tribes. To obtain the mask, individuals must reach certain ranks within Asakura. The starter mask of Asakura is white and with light blue highlights. To obtain this mask, you have to join the discord and be ranked "Hatsuasa" (Level 2000) within the Roblox group. The second mask (Black and Red) is obtainable through passing a training and obtaining the "Hashira" rank within the Roblox group. The final mask (Black and Purple) is reserved for members of Asakura's Council (including the leader ranked as "Azumi"), to obtain it you'll need to pass staff applications which are posted in their discord. Ghoul Masquerade Mask	These masks resemble a ghoul-like masquerade mask. The red mask can be obtained by being a Training Instructor, Buying the Rogue Mask role or being a level 2000 and having the Gourmand role in their Discord. The purple mask can only be obtained if you're part of the staff team (Note: Training instructors are NOT staff members of the faction). The grey mask is reserved to the leader of Masquerade. Cerberus [UNOBTAINABLE]	These masks are designed to look like the mythological creature, Cerberus. The grey mask can be obtained by being LVL 1250 and joining their Roblox group/Discord. The black mask is rewarded to those who attend training sessions or participate in squad activities (more info in their Discord). The white mask is exclusive to those among the staff team. Hogo Mask	The mask, as it was originally liked to be called "Power Rangers" is intended for experienced players of the Organization. The mask itself is endowed with sharp and clear contours around its entire part. There are 6 multi-colored circles on the forehead, which includes each Supreme guardian (As in the logo). There is no specific level requirement for the mask, because this mask is given only to people who have passed several stages of verification: Entrance exams, visiting supports, and earning organization points. The first mask is provided from the first Mid rank. It has a black and white color scheme. The second mask is intended for official or additional staff of the Organization (High Ranks): Instructors, managers, artists, or high-ranking additional servers. It has a black color scheme. The third type of mask is intended exclusively for the Supreme guardians of the Organization (Upper Ranks). This is the maximum allowed rank in the Organization, along with the Leader. Code Masks

These are masks that require a code to be used in-game. These do not require you to join a group nor to purchase them and can be used an infinite amount of times.

Ibe	This is a mask of iBeMaine a YouTuber who records videos on Ro Ghoul. The mask is designed like a Susanoo and hides the pupils and almost the entire face. This mask is not exclusive and can still be worn.	!ibemask
Deku	This mask is a nod to Izuku Midoriya's second and current Hero Costume from the Anime "Boku no Hero Academia", or "My Hero Academia". The mask is almost medieval in nature, with a large piece at the front with 8 holes, surrounding the lower face. This mask was exclusive and made for the birthday of a YouTuber named Roball.	!RoballMask
Traf Mask	This mask is made for Ro-Ghoul influencer "TrafTheOpest". It is a rectangular-esque mask with three-pointed lengths on each side in an equilateral manner. Near the four corners are grey, bubble-like designs. The mask has two googly eyes and a mouth that has a blue tongue sticking out and away from the mask. Light blue neon horns adorn the top of the mask. On the top right corner of the mask, the word "opest" is inscribed in a comic sans-esque font. This mask is no longer usable.	!TrafMask

Exclusive

These are masks that are exclusive and limited for a certain amount of days. These masks are generally tied to a holiday or event. These masks are found in the in-game Settings.

Oversized Spooky Sheet	This mask is that of a ghost costume that covers your entire head including your shoulders. It takes the form of a white bed sheet with black dots representing the eyes and another small black dot in the middle representing the mouth. It has a look of a ghost and its ends are spiky. This mask is exclusive to the Halloween day of 2019.
2020 Vision	Not as much as a mask as it is a cool pair of shades... This "mask" consists of purple color with the rims being of stars. The lenses are orange and not translucent with "20"s on each, writing out "2020". This was an exclusive mask given during New Years Day. 2020 vision, baby.
Masked Christmas Hat	This mask was exclusive to Christmas Day 2020. Users who log onto Ro-Ghoul during any time will be awarded this mask. The mask consists of the classic Santa hat with a peppermint-styled mask. The mask itself is similar to the standard Bandana mask. The mask has red as its primary color with stripes of white decorating the mask all around.
2021 Mask	This mask was exclusive to New Years Day 2021. It's a simple all-black mask covering the entire face with 2021 written on it. The colors of the text change periodically.

Retired/Removed

These masks are from retired (or retired designs), removed, or disbanded factions. These masks are no longer obtainable and cannot be used through any means.

Royal Guards	The royal guards mask was designed to resemble the royal guards one would have seen in Undertale, having three variants depending on the ranks of the masks member. Tokyo Order	Tokyo Orders masks were designed around the Greek Mythos Cerberus, a three-headed hound that guarded the gates to Hades. The mask had two of the heads as pauldrons on both shoulders and the central one covering the entirety of the users head. This mask is no longer obtainable both due to losing unofficial status and disbanding due to internal issues within the group.	Low Rank Mid Rank High Rank
Silence	Silence's mask was double-sided mask that covered most of the wearer's face, where the right side has a flower that covers the user's eye, while the left side was a skeletal mask reminiscent of a certain Hollow Mask from bleach. The mask had 3 variants from a white for lower ranks, red for mid ranks, and black for high rank/staff. This mask is no longer usable or obtainable due to Silence merging with Aogiri Tree and disbanding there after.	Low Rank Mid Rank High Rank
Calamity	Calamity's mask was an upper-head covering hooded mask that had a vampiric/beastial feel to it with four eyes. This mask was obtained from reaching mid rank within the faction. The mid rank featured a green glow to it, while high rank was purple with blue eyes, and the staff mask was red with yellow eyes. Black Dragons	Black dragons mask was fairly simple yet fitting for their name, this mask sported a frontal mask in the shape of a dragons head that ranged from white for lower ranks formerly but was updated to be black with white eyes. The high rank mask was black with purple eyes and was only usable to staff and moderators of the faction. This mask is no longer obtainable due to the groups disbanding. Ape	The Red Apes were based off the Tokyo Ghoul canon group, sporting a wintery hood trimmed look with a red ape shaped facial mask for all of the group. This mask is no longer obtainable due to the group disbanding.	Mask used by all members
The Dark Army	The Dark Army's mask was designed around their factions logo and trademark design of a wolf. When the mask was first added it had a black appearance with pitch black eyes, but when later updated it was black with a neon glow and purple eyes that peeked out from a hazy appearance from the mask. This mask is no longer obtainable due to the disbanding and termination of the group from breaching ToS.	Low Rank (Former) Group Mask (Later)
Owl	The Owl's faction mask was a simplistic design, reminiscent of ancient mediaeval full plate helmets that covered the face. The low rank mask was a simple grey/gray color, while the mid rank was a light crimson red, and the high rank mask usually seen with staff and high ranked officials being a pitch black color. Plague Doctors	The Plague Doctors mask was designed around the dark ages plague doctor. The low rnak for this mask was close to the in-game mask Plague Doctor with blue lenses on the mask, the mid rank sported purple lenses, and the high rank/staff had red. Quinx	The Quinx faction was based off Tokyo Ghouls Quinx Squad and was an off-shoot of the CCG Factions group. The mask was a simple mouth covering with a teeth pattern and prongs shooting off from it. This mask is no longer obtainable due to the disbanding and presumed merge into the CCG group.	Group Mask
Goat (Retired Masks)	The goats old mask was very simplistic and was designed around a goats skull, similar in color and feel to the current masks with varying colors they sport the red for the higher rank mask. The newer mask has variations as well correlating to their corresponding ranks. This design was retired and updated upon the faction scoring enough on Arena Board to be updated.
